David Fitzgerald at Skepticon 3

David Fitzgerald, who was wisely acquired as a contributor to Atheism Resource, has burst onto the scene as a prominent skeptic.  He has written a book that’s taking off: NAILED: Ten Christian Myths That Show Jesus Never Existed At All (also available on kindle).  Within minutes of his talk at Skepticon 3 every single copy of his book sold out.  We later found a copy that got mixed in with some other books and did a blind auction for it to benefit Skepticon and it went for $250.  NAILED is one of the best things I’ve read in a while.

Fitzgerald also ran away with the show at Skepticon 3 as evidenced by the fact that Rob Lehr, our videographer, has been inundated with requests to get his talk posted first.  Rob has complied.  You can watch David’s talk by clicking here.

I’d also like to take a moment to tell everybody reading that I’ve seldom met a better person to work with.  David is gracious, extremely down-to-Earth, and willing to give his time to anybody approaching him at a conference no matter how many there are (and believe me, after his talk there were a lot at Skepticon).  It’s good to see people like David ascending to positions of prominence within our movement.

We immediately asked Dave to return for Skepticon 4.  It’s worth coming just to see him.
